What? You want $15/hr...$31,000/yr to take my "dollar value" order? Hey, I appreciate you being there for me, but, are you insane?
Big protest yesterday by fast-food workers who think they deserve to be paid more. Just because...uh...they do.
Why? What's a fair wage? You should be paid based on productivity..not because you're entitled to it. It's the quality and productivity of your performance....being paid for your time (in a highly productive way) that's makes you more than valuable to your company.
Don't think you're paid fairly? Improve your self-worth. Get some more education, get better skills, climb the ladder. There's always a way. It's been done for centuries. You just can't set an arbitrary standard for a fair wage and be paid that if your worth doesn't produce what it costs for you to be there.
Employees have to deliver more (again, MORE) value than what they get in wages (and in some cases, benefits) for the employer to be able to pay them and still turn a profit. (That's not an evil concept.)
Want to be paid more? Make yourself a more valuable person to the company that hired you. Another protest that's totally misguided. And by the way, shouldn't these people be at work?
Do we really want to pay even more for "garbage food"?
