Are you caught up in the Web? I guess we all are. But there are some who think the Internet is a waste of time and corrupts our insides. So a Tech writer decided to remove himself for the "net"--cold turkey--for one year.
April 30, 2012 he unplugged his ethernet and when from a "smartphone" to a "dumbphone. He said that wasn't too bad. He read books, he talked to people face-to-face, he lost weight..all by staying away from the internet for 1 year.
Instead of checking his e-mail, going on-line and going on Facebrag....I mean Facebook, he played video games and listened to audiobooks.
He did say he doesn't think he'll change the world and get people to change their habits. He still says the internet is where people are.
The year ended up for Paul Miller on May 1st, and he's still alive. And he's going back the the WWW. He may get distracted and waste time again just like we all do, but he says at least he'll be connected again.
