There's a really good chance a lot of us know someone in the New England area affected by what happened in Boston yesterday. Hopefully, everybody you know is safe. Now the question is how can we all help in some way. There are ways to do it and ways not to do it:
--Trying to reach somebody? Text, don't call. If you're trying to reach friends and family and can't get through on the phone, texting is you best option because it requires less bandwidth.
--If you are "safe and Well", register to say so. The Red Cross "Safe and Well" page is out there to let friends and family know you're OK. The Red Cross also suggests you update your social media pages too.
--Don't rush to give blood in Boston. The Red Cross also says there is enough blood on their shelves to meet demand. They do recommend if you do want to donate in some way schedule a time in the future to give blood.
