Onondaga County Sets Another COVID-19 Case Record

Syracuse, N.Y. -Onondaga County has set another COVID record.

The county today reported 2,087 new COVID-19 cases. Another record for the highest number of new cases in a single day.

County Executive Ryan McMahon said three more people have died from the virus in the past 24 hours. Two women, one in her 70's and the other in her 80's, and one man in his 70's.

There are 181 in the hospital, with 34 in ICU.

McMahon said at this point 86% of county residents 18 + are vaccinated.
