Sylvan Beach Man Attacks Neighbor With A Chainsaw

Sylvan Beach, N.Y. - A Sylvan Beach man has been arrested after threatening his neighbor with a chainsaw.

State Police say 59 year old Daniel Waller showed up at a home on Pleasant Avenue in Sylvan Beach and damaged a vehicle with a chainsaw before threatening to kill the homeowner with it.

When Troopers arrived they found Waller in the middle of the road with the chainsaw at his feet. Waller fought with the Troopers and was tased.

Troopers have had to deal with Waller, who is a registered sex offender, 4 times in 2 days.

Waller faces the following charges:

Menacing 2nd degree - (A misdemeanor)

Resisting Arrest - (A misdemeanor)

Criminal Mischief 4th degree - (A misdemeanor)

Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree - (D Felony)
