Onondaga County Sees More Than Half Of COVID Cases Today Compared To Last

Syracuse, N.Y. - Cases of COVID 19 in Onondaga County are more than half what they were last Friday! County Executive Ryan McMahon announced 145 cases today, last Friday the number was 304.

Last weeks Monday - Friday case numbers were 946 and this week, its 794, obviously a welcomed trending down of cases.

McMahon said there are 89 people are in the hospital with 23 in the ICU of which 87% of those were unvaccinated.

McMahon sadly reports two more deaths both women, one in her 60's the other in her 80's both had underlying conditions.

He said he will hold a briefing on Monday to discuss recent vaccination developments and the county's planning.
