Former residents of a Syracuse nursing home will be receiving checks as part of a class action lawsuit.
A judge approved a $5.5 million settlement for some residents of the former James Square nursing and rehabilitation center. The lawsuit dates back several years, and was brought to the court by residents who were severely mistreated by staff members.
