Utica Police Officer Suspended And May Face Legal Action

Utica, N.Y. - A Utica police officer has been suspended and may face legal action

Last Friday Utica police responded to a domestic call. The suspect, Kerwin Taylor, was allegedly threatening a female with a firearm. In body cam footage Officer Matthew Felitto is seen kicking Taylor in the head after he was taken into custody. Footage also shows another officer yelling for Felitto to stop, which he finally did.

Taylor was treated at the hospital and released to the police.

Utica Police Chief Mark Williams and Mayor Robert Palmieri announced that they are seeking termination and possible legal action against Officer Felitto.
