Onondaga County Reaches Deal To Prevent Furloughs

Onondaga County officials have reached a deal that may prevent hundreds of furloughs.

County Executive Ryan McMahon said that he and the union that represents hourly workers are awaiting final signatures on the deal before he can provide additional details. Onondaga County is currently facing a $40 billion shortfall due to a loss in sales tax revenue during the COVID-19 pandemic.
