Governor Cuomo has given a timeline for the reopening of schools in NY state.
He announced that finalized guidelines for school safety will be announced by July 13th. Beyond that, a final decision on whether schools will reopen at all will be made by the first week of August.
The Governor also gave the green light for malls to reopen beginning this Friday.
Qualifying shopping centers would include those in regions that have already entered Phase 4 of Cuomo's reopening plan. That includes Destiny USA and many other malls across CNY. The owners of Destiny USA said that the air filters within the mall will be replaced with the latest models in order to prepare for a Friday reopening.
