SU Announces New Inclusion And Diversity Initiatives

Syraucse, N.Y. - Syracuse University Chancellor Kent Syverud says the school will be making changes following a series of racial and anti-Semitic incidents last semester.

Syverud welcomed students back yesterday and announced new initiatives, including an increased focus in hiring diverse faculty members. Syverud also said the school has set aside over five-million dollars to address issues of inclusion and diversity.

Some students called for Syverud and other school leaders to step down following what happened in the fall, but none of them have resigned.
