Gov. Cuomo Signs Legislation To Help Service Members

New York - Governor Cuomo has signed off on 14 new pieces of legislation to help current and retired service members.

One law will create a database of homeless veterans living in the Empire State. Another bill requires employers to advertise positions that are set aside for veterans living with disabilities.

Over the weekend, the governor also announced application fees will be waived for military veterans and their spouses who want to attend SUNY schools.
