Clay, N.Y. - The Onondaga County Sheriff's Office is holding a free child car seat inspection this weekend.
It'll be taking place tomorrow at the Target on Route 31. Officials say they often discover a car seat hasn't been installed correctly.
Some simple things to keep in mind include making sure the car seat changes as the child gets older, the base of the car seat doesn't move more than an inch when it slides and making sure the harness is tight enough for your child.
