Onondaga County Dealing With Triple E And West Nile

Syracuse, N.Y. - Onondaga County has announced they too have a mosquito problem.

Mosquitoes from a trap located on Route 298 in the Cicero Swamp area in the town of Cicero have tested positive for both Eastern Equine Encephalitis virus, and West Nile virus.

The Onondaga County Health Department is making preparations to conduct aerial spraying of the Cicero Swamp and immediate surrounding areas soon.

We of course will let you know when that will happen.

Residents are encouraged as always to protect themsevles from mosquito bites.
