Rome police have a missing woman who they believe was murdered, and her husband is their only suspect.
Police are reporting that they were called Monday by a family member to help find 32-year-old Kerrilee D'Avolio, who had not been seen since Saturday. Police say her husband Jason D'Avolio brought the couple's children to his brother's place of work, and the brother called police because he believed a homicide occurred in the D'Avolio home. Evidence found at the scene is said to be "suspicious." Jason D'Avolio claims his wife committed suicide and that he placed her body in a Dumpster. Police want local businesses and others who use Dumpsters to look for Kerrilee D'Avolio's body. Anyone with information is asked to call Rome Police at 315-339-7715.
