N.Y. Fires Advocate For Open Government

Albany, N.Y. - New York state has fired their top advocate for government transparency after he's accused of sexual misconduct.

72 year old Robert Freeman, who headed the state Committee on Open Government, was fired last night after it was found that he acted in a sexually inappropriate manner toward a young female reporter.

The Inspector General alleges Freeman used his work email to exchange sexually suggestive messages with another woman he may have met during a visit to Syracuse University’s Maxwell School.

Freeman admitted to the allegations, that he met and kissed the young reporter in addition to sending her suggestive emails and photos. Freeman had worked under 7 different Governors.
