New Project To Help Pan Handlers Gets Off To Great Start

Syracuse, N.Y. - An experimental solution to Syracuse’s panhandling problem launched today. Higher Ground, a project run by John Tumino of In My Father’s Kitchen got underway today.

Tumino says they will get paid 50 bucks and have chance to talk with a social workers who can help them get back on their feet.

Tumino said the first day went very well, and we was surprised that they actually filled the van and we was peased how well everyone worked togther.

The idea was pitched following a controversial plan to make panhandling illegal.

The van will go out three days a week
