WATCH: Julian Assange Arrested

London - Wikileaks founder Julian Assange is under arrest this morning.

He was arrested by British police inside the Ecuadorian embassy where he'd spent the past seven years. Assange has been wanted by British authorities since skipping out on bail in 2012, while he was the suspect in a Swedish rape investigation. He's been living in the embassy under the diplomatic protection of Ecuador, protections that were terminated today.

Assange's attorney says he's been arrested on US extradition request as well as for breaching UK bail conditions. Assange has long been worried he'll be extradited to the U.S. to face charges connected to WikiLeaks over posting classified information. In 2010, Wikileaks posted documents related to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, info provided by former Army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning.

Additionally, the Justice Department is also building a case involving the leak of hacked of Democratic emails during the 2016 election.
