Syracuse, N.Y. - A Syracuse man is recovering this morning in the hospital after being shot in the chest while trying to break up a fight.
Officers say the 58-year-old man stepped in to stop a fight between several men on Westmoreland Ave around 4:00 p.m. The man told officers that was when one of the people shot him.
