UPDATE: Syracuse Police name the 16-year-old killed on the same block as 12-year-old.
Syracuse, N.Y. - A man is in the hospital this morning after being shot last night in the same block where a 12-year-old was killed.
Syracuse police say that the man was shot in the upper body on John Street -- between Park and Lodi -- around 10:30 p.m. Monday. It's in the same block where James Springer III the Third was shot and killed in October.
He was rushed to Upstate Hospital where he is listed in serious condition.
Officers say that their investigation is in its early stages, and they know very little. They are asking anyone with information to leave an anonymous tip by using the “SPD Tips” App on their smartphone.
