Woman Accused Of Robbery Freed After Proof She Was At Funeral

A woman accused in a weekend robbery is free from custody when a photo showed her at a funeral at about the same time.

Minnie DuBois was arrested Saturday afternoon after an acquaintance of hers claimed she and her boyfriend Luis Rosa attacked him on North Salina Street around 12:30 pm.  The only problem with that is that Minnie was at St. Lucy's Church on the near west side of the city at 1 pm, acting as a pallbearer in the funeral of four of her family members, who all died in the Fitch Street fire April 5th.  Photos of her at the funeral proved to be enough for authorities on Monday to agree Minnie should be released. While DuBois  still faces charges of robbery and other offenses, prosecutors may decide to drop them.
