Wild Winds Whipping CNY

Syracuse, N.Y. - Central New York is in for damaging winds today.

A high wind warning goes into effect at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday and will remain until at least midnight.   Forecasters say wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour are possible.

The winds will bring some weather whiplash. Rain is expected periodically through Wednesday and will transition into snow Wednesday night and will linger through Thursday and taper off Friday. Up to a half-foot of snow is expected by the weekend.
