Syracuse Man Accused Of Car Jacking And Punching A Woman

Syracuse Police responded to the 500 block of Cannon Street Wednesday night around 5pm,  regarding a robbery complaint.

When they arrived a woman told them she was driving south on Cannon Street, when she noticed an unknown male in the rear of her vehicle.  The victim said she immediately pulled over and told the male to get out of her car. He became angry and removed a child seat from the car and began hitting the outside of her vehicle with it. When the victim attempted to make him stop he punched her and threw her to the ground. He then got in the car and left.

While Police were investigating the incident,  the victims car was spotted with the suspect inside. Officers attempted to stop him but he refused at first. After a short chase he stopped and was taken into custody without incident. Arrested was 42 year old Nathaniel Williams of Syracuse.

Williams is charged with Robbery in the Third Degree and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree.  He was lodged at the Onondaga County Justice Center.
