One person is dead and another injured in a three-car crash Thursday in Lewis County.(TODD)
State police report that Meghan Mathys of Lowville was northbound on State route 12 at about 5:30 am when her sedan crossed the center line and sideswiped a car driven by Heather Seller of Lyons Falls. Mathys's car was then hit on the passenger side by a truck driven by Benjamin Russell of Old Forge. Troopers say Mrs. Mathys was pronounced dead at the scene. Russell was taken to the hospital in Lowville for a minor injury, and Heather Seller was not hurt. Investigators say weather does appear to be a contributing factor to the accident.
