Police Name Tractor-Trailer Driver Who Careened Off Route 81

Tully, N.Y. - State Police are now naming the woman that was killed when her tractor-trailer careened off of Route 81 and plummeted down an embankment.

Troopers say the crash happened about 4:30 yesterday morning but nobody called in to report the crash until someone spotted the tractor trailer several hours later.

State Police investigators say 48-year-old Patricia Rogers was about one mile north of the Tully exit on Route 81 when her northbound tractor-trailer crashed through the median, crossed into the southbound lane, and then careening down an embankment.

Troopers say Rogers, who was from Burlington, New Jersey, was traveling from York, Penn. They say she was already dead when they arrived.
