An Oneida County man has been arrested after the state says he was caught kayaking in the Caribbean while receiving Workers Comp.
30 year old Ryan Haley of Rome has been accused of getting workers comp on two different occasions last year. State investigators later caught him kayaking in the Caribbean and working in California with his girlfriend.
Haley is an employee of the Central New York Psychiatric Center in Marcy. The state says Haley got almost three thousand dollars in workers comp that he's wasn't entitled to. In both cases, Haley claimed he suffered a back injury on the job.
