Syracuse, N.Y. – Upstate Nuke Plants like FitzPatrick and Nine Mile Point will remain on the Taxpayer doll:
A Federal Judge is tossing out a lawsuit that challenged the State's new subsidy package that collects $483 million a year from utility ratepayers and gives the money to nuclear plants.
Utility customers throughout the state began paying in April through extra charges on their monthly bills.
A coalition of non-nuclear generating companies is expected to appeal the decision.
