In Broome County, there's been a third sighting of an alligator there.
The sighting have occurred in the Village of Whitney point in recent days and the gator has been seen lurking near the Tioughnioga River.
The mayor in town suspect that the alligator used to be someone's pet and was late go in the area, and the DEC is now involved in the search for the gator.Some kayakers on the river snapped a picture of the alligator.
The DEC is warning local residents that the gator is potentially dangerous and should not be disturbed.
