Accusations Of Price Gouging At Syracuse's Polish Festival

There's accusations of price gouging at this weekends Polish Festival on Clinton Square. One food vendor was charging nine dollars for a kielbasa sandwich. 570 WSYR received complaints from festival-goers who were shocked and angry over the price that was being charged by a longtime vendor called Tropical Island.

Some customers even refused to accept the sandwich at that price. WSYR contacted festival organizer Nancy Cummings who said she too was outraged at the price being charged.

Cummings though say she can't tell the vendors what to charge for food, but she ordered that the vendor to visibly post his prices so customers would know how much they were charging. Other vendors nearby were selling the same sandwich for about six dollars.
