Syracuse police tell us they have arrested a wanted person who attempted to evade them in a brief car chase.
Officers say they spotted 32-year-old Dequan Williams of Syracuse driving a Nissan Sentra on Butternut Street, and knew him to be a wanted person. Williams attempted to evade police until the Nissan struck a Cadillac on Hawley Avenue. Williams attempted to flee on foot, but was taken into custody. Neither Williams or the other two passengers were injured. Williams was charged with several felonies including reckless endangerment.
A 14-year-old male in the Nissan was charged with obstructing government administration and resisting arrest. An adult female passenger was not charged.
